1. I really enjoyed watching the advertising video Design Army made for Georgetown Optician. I think Design Army's video work are their strongest projects. The Georgetown Optician videos are very well done, and have even earned them an Emmy. I love the cinematic quality of the video, the warm colors, centered framing, and quirky voiceover cleverly mirrors that of Wes Anderson film.
2. Another film made by Design Army was a video made for the Hong Kong Ballet. It follows Hang Kong dancers in a different locations, such as a tennis court, a restaurants, a cargo ship, a city scape. The video is made up of beautiful bright colors, fun camera tricks, and a classical/hip hop mixed track.
3. Alice in Wonderland Photography and Design for the Washington Ballet. Design Army is based in DC so they collaborate a lot with the Washington ballet. For this project Design Army used photography and design to create advertising for the Washington Ballet's Alice in Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books, and I love the colorful costumes, beautiful photography, and gorgeous typography of the project.
